Garbage and Recycling

Waste, Recycling & Composting

Quick Access – Here’s How It Works

  • Compost Collection

    • Occurs every Wednesday from early May to late October, with the first pick-up this year on Wednesday, May 3

    • A clear list of accepted versus not accepted compost items helps avoid confusion

    • Single Stream Recycling
  • E-Waste Drop-Off

    • Now accepted at the Public Works shed — simply call ahead or leave items outside during business hours (Mon–Fri, 8 am–4 pm)

  • Used Oil Recycling

    • Bring your empty oil containers to the Public Works yard (459 Boyne W) to receive a free replacement container, while supplies last. Drop-offs are open year-round; contact Public Works at (204) 746‑2532

Recycling: Everywhere You Go

The Town of Morris participates in the Recycle Everywhere Program, partnering with the Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association to host collection receptacles throughout town—making it easier than ever to recycle on the go .

Already Composting at Home?

If you manage your own compost and don’t need a bin from the town, just let us know—call the Town Office at (204) 746‑2531 to opt out
